Post It Note Film

As an after coursework task, we were given a brief to create a quick stop motion film which had to be created via the use of post it notes.
The aim was to outline the time line of everything I have underwent in media over the course. I thought this could be included just to show that even revision and recapping can be put into new media terms.

Kick Ass

A recent release at the cinemas has been a film called Kick Ass.

The narrative is very similar to my own in ways and if this were to have been released around the time I filmed and created my final production It would have been heavily mentioned as an inter textual reference.

Basic plot line is rather simple, its focused around an unnoticed high school student, who is an avid comic book fan with little friends living at home, alone with his father. One day with all of his comic inspirations he decides to create his own superhero - Kick Ass, an everyday super hero with no powers which leads to him getting into some trouble. From this many others follow in his footsteps and he is joined by other vigilantes such as Hit Girl and Red Mist who attempt to over come drug crime amongst other things.

From the link above you can find lots of information about the film and various new media related integrations too the film which would have been nice to include for mince. Such as the inclusion of several games, each linking to a character from the film.

Here is a short video on my thoughts of the film and if I could take any influences from it, what I would include.

Post Production Audience Feedback

To gain an insight what people in my group thought of my project I decided to under go some audience feedback with some of my colleagues.

Beneath is the footage taken and the individuals responses.

Each persons film was taken into account so everyone could benefit from the feedback given.

These videos were filmed using the iSight camera which is built into my mac and then edited using iMovie. From this the clips were then exported via quick-time, then uploaded to photobucket, where the embed code was copied allowing me to place the clips into this post.
